with Midwife Rebekah in 2025. She is at the point in her training where she is caring for clients as the primary midwife under supervision. I’m Elizabeth. A holistically minded “crunchy” wife, and Christian momma to 7 amazing children. On a typical day you’ll find me homeschooling, baking sourdough bread, or outside working on our homestead. I’m a firm believer in natural remedies, raw milk, and nourishing our bodies with nutrient dense foods! I’ve been a birth doula for 17 years and love every part of it but I also have a very special place in my heart for postpartum support and whole-body nourishment. When a new baby is born, so is a mother, and we often forget how important it is to care for her during this period. It’s truly a Joy to love and support women through birth and postpartum. It’s such an honor to serve women as they navigate Birth and the start of Motherhood. It’s truly a JOY to watch women learn to trust their instincts and find the confidence they need for an empowered birth experience. There are many moments in my life that I attribute to my start in birth work but experiencing Motherhood is probably my number one reason! The older I get, the more I realize the importance of having other women in our lives who will guide us, encourage us, support us, most of all just be there. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/57e73749e4fcb5e38d00beee/413b714d-2e02-449a-8e3e-1b60235198ee/Shonda.jpg Meet the Team - La-Shonda Spencer - Apprentice La-Shonda began working with Midwife Rebekah in February 2025. “I want to show women and their partners that birth is a beautiful and joyous gift from God.” I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years. My instructor gave me a push to start yoga teacher training which I was very hesitant but did anyway. During that time, I learned about doula work and prenatal yoga. It was so amazing because that's when I first heard my calling to become a doula. After my yoga teacher training, I taught prenatal yoga and in 2020 I became a doula. I have attended births in Huntsville, Mobile, and other cities. In 2023, I completed my Midwife Assistant training under Toni Hill, Blooming Moon Midwifery in April 2023. I have been a birth assistant at Crown of Glory Birth. http://midwiferebekah.com/home-five daily 0.75 2025-05-09 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56cb3cba59827e93fe59b7ff/1456938305372-FL5CYSYX2HKUJ16I0JPI/header-home-JessieWebster_Treehouse_25.jpg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56cb3cba59827e93fe59b7ff/1456937093367-KZFXOYMZOMSAJU9MPSEO/image-asset.jpeg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56cb3cba59827e93fe59b7ff/1456937109909-T0NRUBU5L1NZWH0G78CA/image-asset.jpeg Home https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56cb3cba59827e93fe59b7ff/1456937126692-IN2XXNF0H65F023MWZIE/image-asset.jpeg Home
